Exclamation Engine coolant level light?

My mom went for a drive today and when she came back she said the engine coolant level light turned on and when she hit the brakes it turned off. me and my dad checked the level but it was at the full marker. any idea of what this might be?

nah, probably slightly below the level of the coolant and when your mother braked, the fluid shifted and uncovered the sensor or the other way around. When your father checked it, it was probably hot and therefore expanded in the tank to look full.

Check it when its cold.

For me, my expansion tank had a crack somewhere, and I was told that its losing pressure which may of caused my CEL light to go off. It might be the same case for you perhaps?
