Electric supercharger

My cousin bought a crappy electric supercharger the other day, and I must say it looks like a piece of crap. There is no way these things can work, right?

He's not the first. Cheap and power dont mix. even the nicer 600 buck ones only produce about .7 pounds of boost at the engine that might make 4 o5 to the ground. And it sounds like he probaly got the 70 doller ones on ebay that will probaly burn out in a week.

It draws a lot of power. Works only for short periods.

I would have to see it. If it is so great why have I never seen it. How is boost controlled or does it just blow 5 psi constantly.
