Official Mazda specs report the same torque/hp more or less. I haven't dyno'd mine yet though

I'm sure it's the same general area, but I personally dont trust the numbers to be exact. Could be doing higher on average... before it was kind of anywhere from 170-190 (is that about right?) to the wheels... maybe it's been narrowed down better to 180-190 or something... wont know till we see some dynos... need a dyno day somewhere with multiple of the 09+

I always need to be quite careful with the stuff I receive (Hear) while feeding the good people the good nourishment they so crave. I will state as much as is wise to be stated:

Someone who tests these motors in mildly prepped trim observed more power from one of these than they had on the older units on his engine dyno. Details beyond that are unknown. All I know is that said tuner was surprised.

It would be awfully nice if an 09 owner would verify this for us or disprove it.

Yes, mostly because it is practically the same engine. I mean, the added oil injector etc shouldn't do much power wise but maybe they come out with a different tune from the factory?

Yes we know about the extra oiler, but what other small changes might have helped?
