Programmers and tuners?
So I recently realized I can buy used Cobbs and what not in the classifieds on here, but that joy was quickly killed when I realized its useless without a dedicated tuner to help me. So my question is are there any of the old users or tuners still hanging around that could tune for me

It sounded like the bad pump was made out to be the cause.
I wondered if the poster caught the distinction.

[QUOTE=Williard;4768488]Brettus is one of the best tuners around.
Look a few posts up you'll see his name.
Yea I've seen his name mentioned alot but wasn't sure if he was still active. Here's the new problem what are the chances brettus lives anywhere near me?

He lives in Australia, but I think they can do it online.
I'm not 100% on that.
PM him and ask.

its a known problem for the cats to get clogged or go out, and once it happens HP will drop and the car will not run the same. Unless you put the new spark plugs/spark plug wires in different then before.

Welcome, Jordan.
Use the stock plugs.
If you aren't going to be tracking it (autocross, road course, or drag strip), use the stock coils and wires from Mazda (or get better pricing from one of the vendors that supports this forum).
If you are going to be tracking it, or just want an upgraded, longer-lasting ignition, can't go wrong with the BHR ignition kit which includes coils and wires.
Don't see a question in the second post. The catalytic converter does get clogged if the stock coils and plugs aren't replace every 30k or so miles. A plugged catalytic will then destroy the engine. If you don't know the history of the car, it's a good idea to drop the cat and see what condition it's in. Any plugging or disintegration means replace it.

I am thinking of installing a REV8 Exhaust System on my 05 RX8. I am new to working on cars.
The one question I have is will installing an aftermarket cat-back exhaust cause any CEL? Seeming how I am not touching the midpipe or header I don't think it should but just wanted to make sure.
Thanks!

My 8 does this also , i believe it is the computer finding the cold idle fuel trim . Mine does it for about the count of one thousand five. I just passed 105,000 miles .
