Do RX8 suck?????
Alright so today my frinds any i were talking about mazda rx8 suck, i have a 05 Rx8 and i was trying to tell them that mazda rx8s are not bad or anything besides the fuel, other than that, i love performance, comfort and everything else. They think they suck just cause they have a rotory engine and they think that it sucks just because of that and some people dont like it because they see the reviews and think that its a bad car. They kept on bashing on how they suck and stuff and we did some research and they dont believe so they wanted to see what you guys think. lol
Dont mind the title cause i just wrote that to get the attention for people to read it.
Please no sarcasm or insults on here. They dont believe me on how good mazda rx8's are.

I think I'm going to go to the Civic forums and ask if Civics suck, and see if I get any Yes's that aren't sarcastic....

OP, drive what you want to drive and let people think what they what. They are going to do it anyway whether you want them to or not, and stressing out over it isn't worth the time or energy.

First of all i told them everything and i knew you guys would so i was alright whatever ill do it, thats why i said no sarcasm cause i knew you guys would do this. Im not mad im just saying why i did and we just kept on arguing and its wisconsin guys, ****** nascars and mechanics are here. So they think they know everything about cars so i just did this to prove them wrong.

Did you really expect to get a massive thread of owners just stating that we agree with you? Even then, we are still a very small minority of people in the world, and even then...it doesn't prove anything!
Those guys will still not like the 8, even if they join the boards to see the thread of everyone saying they like it, I seriously doubt it would change their minds even one bit. If you went to a Civic forum and saw a thread of people loving on the Civic, would you suddenly think they are awesome?
No, you would have drive one and find out it's awesome (which won't happen of course).
Well, if you want to prove your friends wrong, then calmly get them to drive an RX-8 (not yours). If they still hate it, then they always will. If they change their mind, then good for them.

I get 18 mpg in the city and 22 on the HWY.
The rotary in itself is a very interesting engine and has allot of potential. I'm making around 200 hp per liter at the flywheel. I bought my car for $10,000 and have invested around $6,000.
Tell your friends to find me a $16,000 car producing 200 hp per liter. Then tell them that I can take left and right turns, they should be shocked.

Everything is so subjective. The exact same car in the eyes of another could easily be:
-Better gas mileage than my SUV
-More power than my econo box
-awesome tranny
-Love the tone, or Too loud (we had one owner who dumped it because of the noise)
-Does great in winter, rust to be expected
-At least they didn't use wood or expensive plastic that would have driven it up market
-Glad they kept costs down and cohesiveness with their line by sharing parts
-I can get used ones cheap!
(left out 'weak engine' since I gather the reference isn't to power, but not sure what it IS in reference too. If it's durability and lifespan, my 8's engine has lasted longer than my corolla's engine. True story.)

- The people over at Dreamcruisers.org don't think their cars suck, and I disagree.
- If you buy the car everyone loves, you will have the same car as everyone else

people talk negative about the rx8 all the time, but professional reviews i.e. "car and driver", "Road and track", "Top Gear", "5th gear" and others all seem to say rather positive things about it....i'm just sayin' if they seem to like it, it can't be THAT bad of a car...right?
