Angry Do not let a woman drive your rx8

My girlfriend decided it would be a great idea for her to drive my car seeing as how her car is a manual, so she knows how. However, she is still a woman, while pulling through a mcdonalds she managed to curb both rims all the way around and scratch my mirror to **** on a pole.

we've been dating for over 2 years, so no. however, i'm pissed at the fact that i had almost saved up enough for a mazdaspeed replica kit, but now i got to throw like 500 bucks down the drain to fix my wheels and mirror

i would be she like instantly started crying hysterically when i yelled at her, i already feel bad for yelling at her. its funny how much damage she could do going 1mph though, like i am wondering if she did not see the neon yellow curb and pole

When I first meet my wife, I asked her if she could drive a standard trans. She said no, so I knew my car was safe, and the relationship would probably work.

haha...i let my girl drive mine and she really did a number on my clutch. regardless, she paid half for a new one about a week after it happened. gotta be careful about who drives your car man...

well I'm learning a lesson from this, and just reinforcing my own knowledge Don't let others drive your car, unless you're in it with them, and even then be wary of who is driving.

Seriously man? That does suck. Hardcore. Look for some nicer rims, instead of fixing those ones if it is going to cost you that much. No one has driven my car except my dad since I brought it home from the dealership.

Women have no spacial awareness and always hit things they just never claim on the insurance because they don't care if the car looks like ****. Nearly every car I see with a young girl driving has damage on every corner.
That being said not all women are bad drivers, there are a few women who come autocrossing and are very good, one particular one who drives an Rx8 in my class and always is round the top ten and usually beats me by about a second.
I once lent my car to a friend which he crashed and was told by a wise man never lend your woman and never lend your car

i also feel that you are most likely to be door dinged by a female, i don't know about you but i have always made a conscious effort to never touch my door to somebody else's, yet i see girls fling there **** open like there's no tomorrow

Tell me about it. I let my wife drive the rx8. I told her to drive it slow and low...lol

Anyway, i really don't have a choice, because i wanted both of our cars lowered and she did not want it, but she got used to it and i just told her to drive it gently on speed bumps and watch out for pot holes and don't turn too fast when turning. She's a fast learner...lol

i'm not sure how much it's going to cost, i think that was an inflated value due how pissed off i was at the moment, i think it may cost around 100 bucks or so for each rim, and im thinking 3m carbon fiber wrap on the mirrors might do it some justice. or better yet, her moms bestfriend from highschool owns a bodyshop in collinsville and i think she's gonna see if i can get it fixed for semi-cheap

I don't even let people drink or way in my 8 never mind drive it. With that said are you sure she likes you.

Is it the paint part of the mirror that is scratched or is it the black plastic? If it is the plastic you will probably have to get the mirror replaced. That could get pricey. And you can find the OEM rims for around 100 a piece here if you keep your eyes open.

my biggest pet peeve of all time is when i tell somebody to not eat in my car, and the proceed to do so, and also proceed to leave my car with nice greasy fingerprints everywhere and or food on the floor
