After I finally seafoamed and replaced fuel pump, spark plugs, coils, and wires, I have ran into a new problem. While driving my car I noticed that I can hear what sounds like rocks rumbling in a tank underneath my car. I also noticed that my exhausts smell more like fuel. Is this signs of a catalytic converter failing with the ceramic rolling around? I have a 2007 rx8 auto with 42k miles so if it is I can get a new cat, if they want me to get a new o2 sensor as well, should i get it as well? Planning on taking in the car to mazda. I just don't want them to make me bend over for diagnostic fees for nothing.

if what youre saying is true, your catalytic is KIA.

Dealer said it's the Catalytic converter, and that the o2 sensor should be fine. Everything done free under 8year/80k miles federal emissions warranty.

Glad it's still under warranty. Hope it's all good on getting a new catalytic converter. It should last another 50k miles or more.

Can you let us know if they have any problems getting a cat? There's a current thread where a dealer has claimed they're back ordered.

He informed me sometime next week it should come in. Possibly even Friday, I'm located in hawaii.
