It should be covered under bumper to bumper warranty (AKA Basic Warranty)

I had mine replaced 3 times. no questions asked.

Print out the service bulletin at the link below and take it into your dealer.

for some reason i think a memo went out to all mazda dealers to stop covering covered parts under warranty. I'm trying to get my warranty refunded because they wont cover something that my details say is covered... if they wont refund i'll be suing them.

its not the money thats the issue, its the principle of getting ripped off.

Reason? Could be considered normal wear & tear stuff like the wrinkles in the leather seats. Get solid answer! I just ordered a steering wheel for cracking under warranty.

thats because the factory's setting was too "long"

after replacement if the dealership did not adjust the length, when u pull it, its still gonna break. thas how my first 2 broke. 3rd time, they re-adjust the length and it hasn't break since then.

so make sure to tell the dealership to "readjust" the hand brake so it will not break the part again.
