Well I was lookin under the hood and I saw 2 stickers (one on either side of the engine at the top of the firewall) that said dealer modification and then has a handwritten number on each. Does anyone else have this? I got it used so I don't know exactly if they are recalls or what but if anyone else can help me out. I did a search and nothing came up.

Did you try searching for the code written on the stickers? Here are links to stickers on my 8.
In no particular order they cover the re-flash of the first batch of RX-8 (my build date is 5/2003) dynamic damper, fuel tank & control arm recall and a re-flash to m level (6/2004)

Same here. I bought a used 8 (build date 07/03) I noticed a sticker on the break booster (I think that's what is called). The sticker said, "Authorized dealer modification" and there was a number. I must investigate.
