Custom Engine Oil Cap

So the other day I bought a two tone machined billet aluminum engine oil cap from Genki Tuning on eBay - http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ROTAR...6368QQtcZphoto -

Looked like a prety nice item, and the price was right. I thought even if it was a piece of junk, I wasn't out very much. Turns out it is a pretty nice product. The logo shown on the top is actually a stencil that you can apply, or not. So, I thought "wouldn't an RX-8 logo look nice there?" So, I decide to etch one there ( note my screen name) Turned out pretty nice, even if I do say so myself! Too bad it is hidden under the engine cover, but it is a nice little surprise whenever you take the engine cover off to show someone the massive expanse of the Renesis power plant!!

Anyway, it's just another little special detail that makes our 8's so special!!

Nice work man.. you ever think of etching the rx-8 logo onto your back side windows? My mother many years ago used to date a guy who did glass etching and he did some awsome piece's of work on mirros and my mothers windows and he's what got me into drawing.
Oh here's a picture of my own oil cap.

Thanks Clavius! Yeah, someone in Chicago (i think) had their side windows etched and it looked great. I don't have the equipment to do them on site. I would have to have them removed to etch in my sand blaster. Also, you really have to be careful of tempered glass, as many auto windows are. Any break of the surface tension on the glass will cause them to shatter. That may not be the case with side windows, but I'm not sure.

I have the Racing Beat one. I really like it

I really wish I had more "bling" (hint:turbocharger) to match it, though :-P

And with this plastic intake manifold, I can't polish it, haha.
