Curious about pre-delivery "repairs"?
The Mazda database record for my car shows two "repairs" performed a few weeks before I took delivery (last weekend):
05/04/2004 11 000018S30 1 SPARK PLUG SET
05/04/2004 11 0000800035WB 1 BATTERY
I take it many people had their battery replaced, as I've read speculation as to why it was done, and I see a bulletin regarding replacement battery info.
But the plugs... was it flooded perhaps? Why replace the plugs?
Just curious, not a concern...

It was probably flooded on the dealer lot, and they may have run--down the battery trying to restart it. Replacing the battery rather than charging it might have been done simply to save time.
