crazy in rotary.. want a rx8

for some reasons i will get 04 rx8 in august.
my friend got fd and i used to drive it in my country and i became a rotary mania.
even thou its far from now i just cant stop thinking about getting rx8. it drives me crazy.
i got a few questions about rx8
whats the price gonna be in august? cuz i have to make a plan for making some money for rx8. and some other people say mazda cars have many problems in general (which i dont agree) especailly rx8 cuz of rotary. what do you think about it? your rx8 runs perfect? and the back seats.. is it possible two big adults(about 5'11) to fit in the back seat? and the last thing is are there many good dealers in new york?

man i cant wait to drive that beauty.

No one here can predict the future, so the pricing is unknown. But you can try to guess by seeing the trend in how the prices are going.

Search on here about problems. You'll be able to read up on those. Yes, you can fit two adults in the back.

Try the local section to get a recommended dealer in NY.

I highly doubt anyone 5'11 would be comfortable in the backseats. You would also have to push your seat pretty far foward for them to fit. I say 5'7 is tops, even then, its quite snugged. I've had people who were 5'5 who "just fit".

Price in Aug, will probably have $1K rebate by Mazda. Expect that + maybe 2G off sticker. and that should almost look like a start for a "fair" deal. Truth be told, i think Mazda reduced the production numbers of RX8s for 07. I dont see too many 07s on the dealers lots, i see maybe 2 or 3.

I say the reliablity of Mazdas/RX-8 is on par with Toyota/Hondas. The only issues that tend to arise if neglecting to check the oil maybe every other week. It does consume oil, thats what a rotary is designed to do. In addition, you sort of have to run the through its RPM band to clean out the carbon deposits. Otherwise, the people you hear who are scared of rotaries are usually uninformed about how the engine operates and care for it. IMO, it's not that complicated that some people make it out to be, it just a matter of poppin up the hood every other week or 500 miles or so to check up on the oil levels. Obviously, the harder you run the car, the more oil its going to consume, otherwise it hardly burns any.
