Question Is this covered under extended warranty?

When I bought my RX8 I also purchased an extended powertrain warranty through the dealership would it cover cracked motor mounts? The only reason I am asking is because my passenger side mount is cracked and I am looking at replacing it. I was reading some posts on here and found that they extended the powertrain warranty on 05 models to include the motor mounts. So according to Mazda the mounts are a part of the powertrain so shouldn't my dealer fix it for free?

You would have to call the company that issued the extended warranty. I'll bet there is a deductible.

I dont think motor mount will be covered because its an wear item. its like asking your warranty to cover your worn brakes. not gonna happen.

Usually, when you get an extended warranty, it will cover some parts that are defective, not parts that wears out (ie. brake pads, brake rotors, tires, etc.).

Motor mounts are not a wear item. What a third party warranty will actually cover is, however, very often a wear item.

well i was going to call last night after i got off of work but I worked overtime, my reason for this question is because mazda NA extended warranties on these for years 2005 or later. It was covered under the manufacturers extended power train warranty. So according to mazda NA this is an item that is related to the powertrain and they were willing to cover it at that time. That is the reason I am asking this question in the first place because I purchased the extended warranty directly from the mazda dealer.
