Cooling fan after can is off

Today was a warm day for us - about 27C. After driving the car for about 1/2 hour or so, I came home and parked it. The cooling fan continued to whirr for about 8-10 minutes. It eventually shut off. Never noticed my old car doing this or my GF's bimmer. Is this normal for an RX?

Yes, this is normal for the fans to run after the car is shutoff. The fans are cooling down the engine and there is nothing to worry about
