Clutch "whirling" sound - not sure is throw out bearing...
I've searched and read most clutch discussions but mine sounds different. 09 R3 120k miles - when I engage the clutch I hear a noise - but it is more pronounced in the 1st, 2nd, 3rd gear shifts. As I press the clutch it "whiiiiirrllls" like the sound of the spinning plate/discs in there. But everything works and seems fine. Is coming from the engine compartment - not the gearbox. It doesn't sound like what I read described as the bearing.... but i read someone described as dry plates maybe? any similar experience out there?
