CEL-after installing ground kit

of course, a home-made kit. see my post in the Ground Wire thread (here: https://www.rx8club.com/showthread.p...946#post367946)
)
any pointers appreciated. my best thought at this time is: in the morning, cut all of the ties, remove my wires, check connectors OR buy a premade set to remove the guess work. TIA for any help!

I haven not. I don't know how. I've been searching here to find out. One mentioned removing batt cable for 20 secs; I do not have any reflashes, yet, so I can't do the 20 brake pedal press reset. Any other reset that can be done. Going down for dinner; will check my manual as well.

Did you remove the batt. -ve term. while installing? If so, you will have to reset the EPS (power steering). Turn wheel all the way to the ... etc. etc. - see manual.

I removed the neg term for 20+ sec. that reset DSC; did the reset per manual. But I never started it - I went on to remove all of the ground set. Restarted, no CEL.
Will inspect the wires tomorrow in the light ; considering ordering gold connectors (when I find some).

update: wierd! the light came back on today. Hasn't gone back off. I left the ground kit strapped in but had removed all the connectors Monday night. All the original grounds are as they were, the ground kit is not attached to anything. If anyone has ideas...please don't hesitate to post. Guess this w/e I'll try to... hmmm... re-do the OEM ground points to make sure they are connected correctly and tightly, try to reset again, although I did do that Monday night.

update again: Installed Stage 1 yesterday ; no longer have CEL glowing. Had battery disconnected during install; did the DSC clear after restarting, all seems normal now.
