Canadian RX-8 Club

I am currently gathering ideas for a Canadian RX-8 Club. The future web site address will be www.Renesis.ca

My current thought is to concentrate on the RX-8 and any future car, factory or otherwise that comes equiped with a Renesis engine.

Any suggestions as to what would make this web site the best
RX-8 site in Canada are greatly appreciated.

Ask Mazda to put in all wheel drive and traction control for those Canadian winters. Leave all that stuff out for those of us in warm climates.

2WD will do fine thanks. Traction control? Take your foot off the throttle! :D

Believe it or not, I drove my FD several winters up here. I put 205/55/16 winter tires and it was perfect. The light weight, LSD, and excellent handling easily telegraphed to me what the car was doing. It also helped that the torque was relatively low compared to power (probably even better b/c I ran non-seq.).

Yes, should I get an RX-8, I will plan to drive her year round.

If you're going to drive it in the snow, then winter tires are a must. 4WD just helps you slide more efficiently in the snow if your tires will not grip.

I suggest making it a "rotary car club", and starting off with the cars that are already out to get you well established by the time the 8 hits the market. And if you have not registered the domain, do it ASAP before some greedy mother decides to buy it now and sell it to you for a profit later.

And PM or e-mail me with your web link when there is some content so I can help spread the word. :D
