Buying a car...
OK so i'm buying a new car for my son. It's between a black 2008 Hyundai Tiburon GT and a silver 2004 Mazda RX8. Why do people keep saying the rx8 sucked for that year? can you guys just give me some input as to which car is better and why? thanks

At the top of this subforum is a group of sticky threads, which are threads that contain important information. One of them is this thread that I wrote: New and Potential Owners START HERE! - RX8Club.com
The first 9 posts detail out why people perceive the RX-8 as a problem to own. There is certainly legitimacy in their belief, although it is also usually overblown and based on bad information. The thread is meant to help inform you about all the basics of this car, as well as many of the trouble points. It will be scary to read.
This is a car of passion, and it takes quite a bit of love for owners to accept the issues and chance of issues. If you can't accept the chances or the diligence, then it's the wrong car.
If you have further questions, post them in that thread.
Note: Any sports car will have it's own list of problems, so research the Tiburon too. A quick search turned up this list of reported issues with the Tiburon: 2003-2008 Hyundai Tiburon: Reliability - Consumer Guide Automotive
