Crossing the Atlantic, have to sell..
Leaving the US permanently in the next 2 months or so, have to sell 
Was thinking of going to carmax, not sure if I want to deal with the hassle of a private sale.
Any advice to change my mind about sale method? I'm just wanting to get cash for it, I paid it off 11 months ago for 14k (yea i know.. it sucks), I'm at 55k miles.

Where are you moving? Anyway, try to sell it private to get more out of it. If time persist because you have to move within a certain day, then just sell it at Carmax or any other auto dealership. Good luck with the sale, and keep in touch wherever your going to move.
