Car Cover
So I love my Rx-8, and I feel that it needs to be treated properly. That being said, I don't have a garage where I live, and I was curious as to if you all believe I should get a car cover for it, and if so, is there a cover that you all would recommend.

Covercraft: easily the BEST car covers I've EVER owned.
I've bought 2 Noah covers for my RX8 over the years and now I'm absolutely loving the Form Fit I bought for it last year.

What does everyone think about the Mazda covers? They look cool and it will just be sitting in the garage with the cover on it so doesn't need to be weather proof or anything.

I owned it for some time, its a decent cover but it fits EXTREMELY tight.
If your car is even slightly dusty, that won't be good for scratches...
Plus, it's expensive so you're better off with cover craft.
If it's only going to be inside, just get an indoor cover. I can post pics of mine later

The evolution model from covercraft is a good cover. Fits my R3 very tight but does not cover the lower parts of the car. Wish it could be a bit longer on the sides and front to cover all of the car.

here's my car with the Noah covercraft
Here it is with the Form Fit indoor cover by Covercraft
you'll notice that the cover is not pulled down all the way in either picture. To be fair, I do have an aftermarket front bumper which is much lower then OEM and a mazdaspeed wing but despite that the cover IS able to reach the bottom of the rear bumper but I choose not to pull it down that far as the exhaust tips are usually hot and I really don't want to burn through my car cover.

the material is a stretchy one, the inside is extremely soft (you could sleep on this) but it won't do anything for protecting against the elements.

Roidz, yeah the price made me cringe but once I received it, I realized it was definitely worth the price.
Jason: so it doesn't get dusty. I I keep mine polished at all times, you'll be surprised how dirty a car can get just sitting in a garage. There's times I go a month in between driving it and when I take it out, I want it to be spotless.

^OCD about having his car clean at all times. Nothing wrong with it, its an expensive purchase (the car) and some like to take care of it as much as possible.

Tell me about, my car has been in the closed garage for almost three months with no cover and it's filthy. The first thing I will do this weekend once it is running is pull it out and wash it

The Noah cover is popular here (as it should be, IMO), however, you may want to look at some of their other covers as well. I have the Covercraft Block-it 380, as it is substantialy cheaper. I don't believe that it is quite as thick/nice as the Noah cover, but the fit appears to be just as good. I'm quite hapy with mine, but mine only gets used for a few days occasionally (as most of the time the car is garaged).

I park in a huge, dusty underground garage. I've had the Dustop cover for nearly 10 years (had it on my last car, too) and it works real well. Even when I'm away from my car for 2 or 3 weeks, not a speck of dust under there.
