I have only had the oem and hawk hps brake pads. I like the Hawk HPS pads. Less brake dust, they bite well dry or wet and quite

In all honesty I cheaped out when I replaced my brakes. I did an Ebay and saw a set of rotors and pads. Price was right and worked amazingly well.

Not doing any advertising for them, but I got R1 concepts rotors with posi-quite semi-metallic pads. Debates about using DS rotors for street, but I just got them for looks basically.

Had Hawk HPS+2 pads and they suck! squeel like a $5 hooker and leave tons of dust like you just went off roading on a Sunday

However. I did have MS pads and I can say this; They are by far the best. Used them down to the metal past the pad(s) and I could still stop lol good stuff

I like Carbotech's pads. Their Bobcats if you won't be tracking your car are great. If you will be tracking your car, you'll need their XP8's. I use the XP8 on the street too. They squeal sometimes, but I do like them. Much more grip on the rotors.

Hawk HPS pads. I have no problem with noise or dust. And I do Autocrossing.
Dom I thought you had the Hawk HP-Plus pads? I know they're a bit harder of a compound for racing. Might be why they squeal.

For the money, the stock brake pads are very good. No sense in looking elsewhere unless you're racing.

I, too replaced my stock pads with Bobcats, and in the beginning I thought I liked them, but now, a year later, I can't wait to go back to stock. Bobcats work well enough, but I don't like their feel. IMHO stock pads feel much better and grabbier, and have fantastic response to pedal input. I can describe Bobcats' response as 'wooden' and while they stop the car just fine, I feel they diminish the overall enjoyment of driving the car, while the stock pads greatly ehnance it.

I need brake pads. I can't stand my squeals.

I'll look into the Hawk HPS brake pads.
