Well I'm back. After selling my first 8 in 2008, I decided to get back into the game. I bought a 2006 copper red shinka with 33,000 miles on it. Can't wait to get back to the states to pick it up. Enjoying reading the threads again after taking 4 years off for diesels.

My last RX I was 20 years old, with 5 tickets on my license from high school. Couldn't afford the insurance and payment on a new serviceman's salary. Now older and wiser and no tickets for almost 9 years, the insurance has dropped considerably to say the least. The pick-up date is June 7th, and it can't get here fast enough.

welcome back...I've been away for awhile too thinking about selling it but now had an engine issue so I might as well keep it especially if it's covered under warranty

The warranty is kind of what sold me on this over a 01-02 M3. I'm getting out of the air force tomorrow, and needed something until I find a new job. I thought the RX-8 would be the safest fun thing to buy. If that statement doesn't contradict itself.

I enjoyed diesels, especially the mileage on the Jetta. Its a surprisingly comfortable car with an incredible resale value. Owned if for 10 months, sold it for 2 grand less than i bought it for after putting 25,000 miles on it. I think I will own one again as a 2nd car in the future.

Well two weeks into ownership and the car is amazing, heard a weird noise took it to get an oil change and decided to get the noise looked at. It was 95$ to diagnose, so I said can you listen to the noise if you do a compression test since they are only 150$? Long story short I'm getting a reman next week.
