OK here we go.

In my previous thread I stated that my car was in a wreck and the body shop that fixed my car did not replace the motor mounts. That's why my 8 had rattles like crazy. So I took my 8 to my local Mazda dealer. They did the work on my car that shop did not do in the first place.

My car ins. co. would not cover the rental car and I could not afford to keep it any longer. The rental car totaled out to over $1,130.00 plus I had to pay $535.00 for the service that Mazda did to replace the motor mounts. I just payed my rent, car payment, car ins., bills, food for the month plus $1,665.00+ to get my car back F**K!...

I called my car ins. rep to see whats taking so long. The check should have been hear by now. Its only coming from So Cal. She sent the check out on the 15th of this month its now the 25th. I told her to stop payment on the check and fed ex me a new check.

I could not take it no more. I had to get out of that POS Mazda 3. So the money I had saved for my rims and drop went to the rental car and Mazda dealer to get my car out. Well I was at Mazda the rep told me they had Mazda techs out to look at all the cars. Many people had rattles loss of power at low rpms well driving on the free-way and streets.

This is the best part. He pulls out 2 pieces of paper stapled together that had: Model, Year, Vin#, Owner Name, Miles, ect with a line going down the right hand side. Right next to that line it had:"New" written. He flipped the paper to the front page that had about 16 highlighted lines right next to each line that was highlighted it had:"OK" written next to it. He pointed to a line that was not highlighted and said:"Oh yeah the Mazda techs re-flashed your car with a new prototype flash program. So if you have a rough idle stalling or problem's with your car call me immediately and let me know. But your car should be OK. They test drove it and put a full tank of gas in for you". I was like Oh OK cool.

So I get my car and on the way home I'm on the freeway and guess what? my RPM start to drop. I'm losing power. So I exit. My 8 would not go faster than 15 mph. I almost get rear ended pulling into a side st. I call my dealer tell hem what just happen and that my 8 stalled. I have no power. He immediately blames it on the techs and tells me to call road side assistance to have my car towed. At this point I'm pissed off!. Its 109 out. Thank God there was shade.

So I'm siting on the curb waiting for the tow truck to show up. When he dose show up 2 hours later hes got some chump with him WTF?! what the hell is wrong with you? Hes like its OK man. So I held my cool. Told him to just tow the car. I called the dealer back told him to send someone to pick us up. Yup that's right us. It was me and my Girl that gets up every day at 3.am for work. See you can only fit 3 people in a tow truck. He tells me OK I'll send someone right away. At this point I'm losing my cool starting to sweat.

1 hour 20 minuets later some guy in a van pulls up. Its now 5:20.pm. I have not had lunch. I'm hot. I smell. I'm pissed off and I'm hungry. He gets us to the service dept in like 30 minuets. I don't know wtf took him so long to pick us up. When at the service department the rep tells me:"Oh yeah your cars going to need a new engine". See, all them lines that where not highlighted need new engines... I lost it. I went off! I was ready to kill this *****! I told him we almost get rear ended do you not under stand that? You stupid honky! He had my paper work ready so this other guy just hands it to me hes like its cool man. If not for my Girl telling me enterprise is going to close we have to go. I would be in jail...

I walked over to the dealer next door Mitsubishi just before the enterprise close for the day to get another rental car. This time Mazda will be paying for it and the guy at enterprise tells me:"Oh well you where walking over Mazda called they are going to put you in a free up grade". I was BFD just give me a car so I can go home shower and eat.

I know I was a BD today and I'm not like that when this go bump but that fact is no one told them to flash my car and I did not OK them to in the og paperwork. The bottom line is:They F'ed my car up.

So now On Monday I'm going down to the court house to file a small claims Court case against the shop that missed all kinds of **** on my car when it was in a wreck like 1 year back. I'm going to sue for $2,500. that about what I have had to pay out of pocket for all the problem's they did not fix. Life if good. Life is real good.

I just hope that *** monkey over at Mazda don't put someone else in there 8 and send them on there way. God forbid they have lose of power and end up in a wreck due to the genius.

yeah i love dealing with that guy, like i told you on the phone that guy has the attention span of a minute, they tell me my rotor wont pass compression test, and first he tries to blame it on my intake, after taking care of that little "misunderstanding" he sends me on my way, and im told that the mazda tech need to be flown out from japan to look at mine and several other cars. with similar problems, so i miss 1 extra day of work before they decide i need a rental on the 11th they tell me they re-flashed my computer with some new program, and filled the tank with 91 and are going to go test it.... now im not god of rotaries, but ive worked on enough mechanical **** to know one true and simple fact... YOU CANNOT FIX A MECHANICAL PROBLEM WITH SOMETHING ELECTRICAL, you might cover it up, but youll never truly fix it.. granted im not to worried about it, i already know its not gonna work, but the best thing about dealing with this clown is my repeat of the phone conversation

me: "so the computer flash is supposed to help with my rotor not getting compression?"
him: "ohhhhhh.......................... well the mazda techs are here, and they really know their stuff, ad they will definitly help isolate the problem and well let you know if you are gonna end up needing a new engine, those guys are the ones to make the final call"

he can just save us all the trouble by saying "look man i dont know **** about cars, all i know is what i can remember from tech telling me to relay to you intermixed with whatever falsities that my mind creates"

Lol, it was "stupid honkey", and by that point in the story it seems well deserved. I don't know what it is about the automotive business, I guess they really do hire the handicapped. Probably most of us have wanted to go off on some "service" dude at some point. It's kind of satisfying to do it vicariously.

I love my 8 just as much as the next person on this board...but if I were you, i wouldn't blame ya for making them eat that car and gettin out from under Mazda's (especially that dealer's) BS. That's effin rediculous.

Thank you all for understanding my frustration. I should have not called him a "stupid honky" but a non-racial term "hill billy". Yes it was a very long and frustrating day... I'm glad you under stand what happen and the fact that they offered no compensation.

Seriosuly I have hjad similar days, not quite as bad as what you just described, but I know it def sux.
All I can say is try to get on the peoples court show and you will get more money than what you are suing for hehe.
Kidding aside, cant you get more than 2500 for all the anguish they put u through?
I am not a big fan of law suites as many of them are wasteful, but in your case they deserve to have their asses handed to them

So I wounder how many other RX-8 owners have had there engines replaced. Seems to me its like a lot of the 2004 AT and MT Mazda RX-8's have had severe engine problems. I think its time for a new White MT 8.

Oh yeah one more thing. I'm going to look into the "lemon law". My car has been flashed so many times its not funny. This is the 3rd time my car had just died like this and almost got me killed and now I'm getting a new engine? Great what next?

The part that sucked was this black RX-7 all turned out OMG! it was nice. So I walk over to look at this guys 7 right. It had CA plates. The service guy that gave us a ride in the van was like thats hot yeah?. I was like hell yeah its a RX-7. Hes like yeah the mazda techs that where out here F**ked up his engine too!... O M G!...

a. its mostly ATs. only a few(5ish) MTs are experiencing the same issue.

i call BS on the techs Fing up the 7. i think i know who was there and i seriously doubt they did something to that 7 that screwed up the engine. remember - it gets posted here near everyday- dont believe what you hear coming from a person at the dealer.

Does this account to specific negligence or is there some type of correlation I've missed? Does it seem to be happening in Vegas more for some specific reason?

2004 manual, dominion knows me, i JUST had my engine replaced, dropped my car off on the 1st got my car back today, the 15th they ordered my engine, not bad time all things considered so i guess that makes 6ish?

Dude whats up man? What you doing on them Honda fourms? lol busted. Nahh its cool. I think its the 04 AT's and just some 04 MT's that have poo for Rotory Engines. I'm going to be looking into a 06 MT in Whit as soon as I get my car back.
