Anyone ever use IR Performance?

Hi guys,

In the market for a rebuild+port. I am in PA and looking for a shop within driving distance. Let's say 3 or 4 hours. I saw that IR Performance is located in north NJ and is about 2 and half hours away. They also offer rebuild and port jobs. I was just wondering if anyone has ever dealt with them or knows if do the renesis as well.

They also offer a 3mm apex seal upgrade. Do the rx8's already have 3mm seals or would that be a good idea to upgrade the apex seals?

Thanks

I've used IRP exclusively for my rotary needs. I haven't heard a single bad thing about their motor builds yet. Speed1 is also available in PA but I haven't used them for rotary work. As far as porting goes, I think IRP is among the best in the NE. They really take alot of time to do the work.

I'm not quite sure about them working on Renesis motors. I asked one of the mechanics for you. I'll post back and see what he says. I know they would like to see more Rx8 guys come to the shop.

PS. This should probably be posted in the NE section.

Thanks a lot, man. I really appreciate it. I was going to give them a call today, but I ran out of time.

As for posting in the NE section, I did. Nobody responded.

By the way, your charcoal rx7 is my dream car. That is absolutely bad ***.

Yea it can be hard to reach them. They are a small shop and don't have a precense on the forum. I'll reach out to the owners again. I don't remember seeing your thread in the NE section. Weird.

Haa thanks man.

I just asked Rich from IRP, he said that they do work on Renesis motors.

They are super busy right now though.
