Allow myself to introduce....myself..
I am the consumate definition of "lurker" (really - my picture is in the dictionary) and I thank my lucky stars I stumbled on this board about 18 months ago. When
my bride and I were married 23 years ago, she brought her red RX-7 to the party. Once we started poppin' out babies, that beauty had to be exchanged
for a (gasp) Subaru wagon. We have now come full circle and are the proud owners of a new '06 Copper Red Shinka. I just wanted to send out some major
"props" to all of the good people who keep this board so fresh, vibrant, and chock-
full of valuable information. Going through the final delivery at the dealership is pretty comical when you know a lot more about the idiosycrasies than the salesman, and you just want to say, "Just gimmie the freakin' keys!"
The weather up here has been pretty suck-y, so pics will need to wait. My wife
is totally jazzed for her commute today. About 15 miles of curvy country roads.
Thanks again.

Congrats on the 8, and welcome.
The salesmen/dealership employees I dealt with were surprisingly 'humble' in regards to the rotary knowledge. Many of 'em said something along the lines of "well, you probably know this" or "you prlly know more about the rotary than we do" . . .
Tho sometimes I think one doesn't need to know much for that to be the case.

Not so much.... There is a dearth of Copper Reds in this region. I bought it locally,
but needed to ship it in from out of state.
MSRP $35,045, Paid $30,100
Appearance
Spoiler
Spare tire kit
Had I been more open to different colors, I could buy all day long at mid-to-high
$27's.
We usually lease our cars and turn them in every 2-3 years, but we're going to
drive the wheels off of this one. We talked about it and figured "Why spend $27k and settle for something we didn't want vs $30k on the most stunning motor transport ever produced by mankind?"
