2010 RX-8 Upgrades

Hello! I just bought my 2010 RX-8 3 days ago and loving it! I would like to start upgrading little by little and was wondering if anyone would give me some pointers. First thing I do want to do is change my interior lights to blue. I looked around but I can't seem to find the lights for a 2010. Anyone know where I can find and buy good interior lights? Also if you can link me some sites that sell good upgrade parts. Looking to get exhaust, intake, and maybe a charger. Thanks and look forward to hearing from you all!

highly recommend a fire extinguisher, a flame retardant suit and a large bag of marshmallows w/ a decent length stick which to roast them.

"What? why?"

Because that is what you will need in order to survive on this forum if you post questions like that without reading the new owner section of the site.

just... trust me. Don't respond back. don't try to defend yourself, explain your actions, make excuses... just... go read. You'll thank me later. promise.

Cheers! Welcome to the club!

Hello and Welcome..

You may find what you are looking for in the future more easier in the Series II Sub Forums.

Plus you will interact with those who have the same series model..
Your 2010 is a Series II RX-8...There are over 400 OEM model specific parts for Series II's which are not technically interchangeable with Series 1 models (2004-2008 MY) and Visa Versa.

Do a SEARCH on LED's and you might find some answers...Interior Lighting is the same for both series in this case...be aware that 'some brand/types' LED's have cause module communication issues with AKE (Key-less Entry)..look in M-Tips.

Rotoryfx.com formally rx8strakes.com

They sell the LEDs you speak of. I changed mine to blue as well. Mines a series II (2009).

Btw a lot of parts listed 04-08 will work but do a little research to find out for sure before you buy.

if i tell ya u should put some vtec stickers all over ... would u?

ok fine, first mod is not about your car, first mod should be the driver, which is you, you need to learn how to SEARCH and READ.

You are welcome.

Guys please don't make it seem like all RX8 owners are dicks.

Welcome to the club. There is a lot of good information here. Take some time and browse around.

Most importantly you need to post pictures!

Thanks all. And let me apologize for my lack of respect to the forums. I should read more before posting but with all the excitement of getting a new car and wanting to make it look sexy, I just posted and wanted answers ASAP. I respect where everyone is coming from and deeply apologize. For those who gave me some tips, thank you very much. I am now searching through the forums and reading as much as I can before purchasing. Again, my sincere apologies and thank you all for the welcome. Very excited to part of the RX8 crew.. well hopefully once I really understand it all. =)

Oh, yes. Picture! Here ya go! Hmm so sexyyy! =)

Yeah, pollen sucks. I washed my daily driver Saturday, and by the end of the day, it was covered in yellow dust. And that dust sticks to the car. At least with the Sparkling Black Mica paint on my RX-8, the yellow dust blends in pretty well with the gold metallic flake in the paint.

Welcome to the club.

Every Series II with an automatic comes with the R3 spoiler as standard. I believe it is an option on manual models, and then, of course, standard on the R3, which only comes in manual.

Well, that sure as heck is as far from the truth as you can get.

I test drove a 2011 GT automatic, and it had the same exact lip spoiler on it that the 2011 Sport manual that I bought had.

BC.

Pretty sure cars can be ordered/bought with options different than standard.

Could be wrong.
