Advance Auto Parts sells BWD/Intermotor Coil from Poland

Hi guys,
I'd searched a lot and finally bought coils from Advance Auto Parts.
It's BWD/Intermotor coil, total price is 89 bucks for 4 coils.
But today I received coils made in Poland, not Japan.
And there's no N3H1-18-100 B mark on side.
Though it doesn't seem a totally crap,
do I use these coils? Or just give them to my dog?

Very unhappy..

Why are you unhappy?
You paid for a replacement coil that is new, and that's what you got.

If you were expecting the newer B version, then that's where you went wrong.

Use the ones you bought, and see if it works better than your current ones.
If it doesn't, then you can be unhappy.

BC.

You got a problem with Polish manufacturing?!?!

Why didn't you just start this thread with "How many Polacks does it take to assemble an RX-8 coil?"

(Disclaimer: I have a lot of Polish in my family history, so I feel entitled to make fun.)

Most of the people you’re replying to 8 years later no longer own an RX8 or visit this forum

I realize that this is a really old thread, but I put these same BWD coils (Polish made) in my 2005 6MT 8 about 5 or 6 months ago (it was during a polar vortex day with a temp of about 21 Fahrenheit but with about 30 mph winds so it felt like -18 Fahrenheit - I froze my nuts off even in an insulated garage with the door half open).

They've been fine.

Unrelated to that, though, is that with 144,000 miles on original motor, an interstate battery replaced new about 1 year ago, is that I've had some codes thrown and weird instances where the engine light, steering light, and airbag light have come on (but no deliverability issues) ever since a) I hit a curb block pretty hard with my right front tire (no damage to tire or wheel - checked to make sure it didn't jar battery or battery terminal wires loose, which it must have, because I had to do the turn wheel lock-to-lock thing once I noticed ESC light was on and radio and clock had reset), and b) had my heat shield wrap around my cat come loose while driving, pulling out O2 sensor along the way - the heat shield was dangling and this resulted in a stall and no-start condition (this was repaired/put back in place properly the same day and all codes were cleared).

Car has been running fine since, with exception of very infrequent episodes of a few dummy lights coming on (airbag with the beep and steering wheel right, but no engine light) for very brief moments that resolve after maybe 10 seconds.

? Anyone have any ideas?

There are no stored codes in ECU. Car runs strong at every RPM.

It's weird.

Sorry for the late response and thank you for the info, I will be picking up a set from advance tomorrow. But as far as the dash lights go, it’s a pretty common issue for the two connectors to get crapped up under the air box near the battery box. Although on mine it just caused the EPS to periodically go out and the abs lights to come on. Try to Pull them apart and clean them with electrical cleaner
