Absolutely Ridiculous....

Hi all,
To begin with, I do not mean this as an opinion or judgement on all RX-8 forum members, only some and the general feel of this forum.

With that said, I do not own an RX-8 ( and after reading some of these threads, nor will i ever own one in the future). My brother does however, own one. I was looking around trying to find some information on installing some electronics. I am a member of my own automobile forum. i will not mention what make or model as to not be abused as some members here are.

forums are meant as a way to gain information and share experiences as well as issues with your type of vehicle. being a member only emphasizes the fact that you love your vehicle. not only yours but all RX-8s.

my point is that some of the people here are so inconsiderate towards newbies and people who are just not as capable as others. you should WELCOME new members. Help eachother out with questions and concerns, and be excited to meet other owners...

I was so disgusted with the way people acted here that i had to create an account just to post this.

good luck with whatever you "haters" are doing and grow up...

and to you newbies... keep on trucking, make your ride y our own and respect those who respect you... screw all the other ones.

I kinda agree, this forum is rougher on people than most others I've been on. Lots of attitude.

and to the 'newbie' jackass that created a whole thread just to say this forum sucks...how's this...normally the only time we flame or bash newbies are when they come in here with their "what's oil?" and "why does the rotary suck compared to my old mustang v8?" and "what intake/exhaust should i get so i can beat a Z off the line?" and numerous other bs questions that are either completely ignorant, completely irrelevant, and/or show a complete lack of 'willingness to search'. have fun helping your "brother" install his "electronics"........

is that what you were looking for??

The rx8club works of the rule of the jungle, survival of the fittest and all that. If you don't search, do your homework, or post banal ignorant things then you will be met with hostility. Why should members hold the hand of every newbie who comes to the forums and asks the same 10 questions about which intake/exhaust to buy or if anyone has turbocharged their car yet but doesn't bother to even take a few minutes out to search ahead of time?

I've seen nothing but helpful posts and members bending over backwards for those who demonstrated the slightest bit of initiative.

To be honest we always flame them first and THEN post a link to his answer

So wait...you wouldn't purchase a specific car, one that you may like, all because people on the internet were mean to you?

Just because some people are having a bad day, have a bug up their *** or maybe you just didn't get the joke doesn't make this a bad forum. It's a public place and there are all kinds just like anywhere else.

I have been a member here for five years. I've seen ups and downs but when I need to find information this is the best resource with the most helpful people I've found.

The knowledgeable people on this forum have some legitimate requests: Read the stickies as instructed. Use the search tools. Make an honest effort to learn, contribute and ask good questions. Do not ever expect to be spoon fed.

So, as with everywhere on the internet, you have to filter the crap and use the tools provided to tap into the knowledge base. If you put in zero effort then you should expect zero return.

Indeed, flaming is more for laziness than lack of knowledge or experience. Were it the other way around, I probably would have changed my screen name to Asbestos.

In almost all the forums I am a member of.... If you post a question that has been answered multiple times on the front page or even in the stickies at the top..... you will get flamed.

On some of the video game forums I go to a mod will lock/delete your post if you post a question thats answered in a sticky at the top.

its not we are not helping.
its we helped similar situations over and over and over and over again.
it becomes disgusting to answer the same thing over and over and over and over again.

there a search, if you dont even feel like searching you dont deserve to be answered.
