Tell your dealer to call the port in KC and verify. I pressed my dealer and he got on the phone to the port in Tacoma and in KC to verify the status of the vehicle. They have a little booklet that gives the phone numbers for the port contacts. If you don't press your dealer he will just say that it is intransit but they can find out more if they want to. The port should also be able to verify VIN's that were affected. My dealer was able to determine that my car was on the train behind the one affected and is in KC. If your car was on that train it should already be in port.

Was just at the dealership watching my new RX-8 being unloaded:D but I can't pick it up til tomorrow because the tech all left who need to do the PDI stuff

The regional Mazda rep was there (and also watching my car get unloaded). I asked him about the train issue. He said that 8 RX-8 were damaged -- none were totalled. They will be selling the damaged 8's as "used vehicles" after they are repaired. He had a list of VIN numbers for the 8 affected vehicles and said that the customers who were to get them have already been assigned new VIN's for identical cars that are being re-rerouted to them ASAP. If you were affected your dealer should be able to find out (since the regional reps have the VIN's).
