This IS awesome. Above all else, it's really good piece of mind for the next few years, I'm approaching the 60K miles mark, and was worried that if the engine lost compression and went kaput, I'd be on my own. Great to know....
I guess they are planning to get good use out of that new rotary rebuilding factory in VA....
"We've got enthusiasts here. We've got hobbyists here. We've got engine builders here. We've got poor people. We've got rich people. Most importantly we've got the best resource of rotary people on the planet and there is very little that hasn't been imagined, talked about, discussed, or improved here. Changes have also been made as a result of our discussions. Give us a bit more credit. We aren't the Civic forum." -RotaryGod
I applaud Mazda on this one! I called a dealership and said they haven't seen it in writing yet but at the last meeting they had with Mazda confirmed this news was coming. I don't know if many companies would do this for their customers.
What da heck!!?? Why the hell did I pay for the 6 yr/ 100K extended... stupid me...
If True, this is ONE HELLUVA sign of good faith.
FWIW, your warranty, even if it is powertrain only still has value due to your tranny, rear diff, and "accessory" components of the engine. Additionally, Mazda may acutally mail you outa small check as refund on the "double coverage". I have seen ti before.
