MI 50 degrees today so I pulled the 8 out of storage

What a great day. I put the 8 in storage back in October and we really haven't gotten much snow. Today, I couldn't take it any more. I called the insurance company, pulled off the cover and turned the key.......click......click.....dead battery.....pulled out the charger and away I go! I love this car! Anybody else get spring fever and take their "summer car" for a spin?

No snow in NY, but salt are everywhere. why? Thanks to our useless Bloomberg. He loves to spend for no reason then turn around and cry and said it's hard to balance our budget oh yeah we need to write even more tickets ! woo!

so yeah, I'm not gonna drive my 8 till it gets 60+, and it gotta rain at least a few times (to clear out all the salt, **** u see them all over on highways) b4 I take my 8 out.

^ see here in kingston we do not get much snow.. our city uses salt but its mixed with sand.. and not much is used at all.. usually before snow falls, so once it does fall the streets are clear.. I would think New York would not get that much snow..

Summer Car??

I live and drive in NYC. we're currently getting 28 degrees F. It rains plenty here and last year as in many previous years we get some pretty good snow. I drive this "summer" car all year round. Use Conti Extreme DWS tires and have no problem. I 've driven in at least 4 inches or more. Never got stuck. ABS works great when it has too, traction control too! nothing like finding an empty parking lot and practicing skid recovery or just letting her drift like crazy
But seriously, as long as you have the right tires, drive with some common sense, use your seat warmers you should have no problem in driving in minus freezing temps. This is a great car and I have driven it when it was near zero outside, icy roads, wet roads, snow covered, etc. Drive carefully and defensively when its nasty out and you can go anywhere most of the dingbats in SUVs go. Nothing like watching one of those slipping and sliding all over the road while I'm just moderately cruising by. They think just because they have 4WD they can mash the pedal and off they go! Just take it easy on the pedal when taking off, give yourself plenty of braking room and stay away from the dopes in those rolling box sofas and you should be fine. ZOOM ZOOM all year long!
