Question 2004 RX8 engine replacement.

Hello Everybody. I am new to this CLUB but I will dare asking you a question.
Does anybody know if i can put a 2006-07 RX8 engine on a 2004 RX8?
The transmission is automatic.

No, your automatic is a four port and the -06-07's are 6 port. It could be done but no a direct swap without ECU, etc..

Hell my 04 a/t four port eats 6 ports a/t for lunch and most manual 6 ports

Thank you all very much.
Actually my engine went to hell and since my vehicle has a rebuilt title, I don't think Mazda would like to take care of it.
I want to replace the engine with an used one.

Talk to Paul at Mazmart......they sell reman. engines at a decent price.

Well, let Mazda figure that out first before you go buying an engine.
