Please help....advice...

First off...Hi everyone! Im new to the group and just recently purchased a 2007 RX-8 while I was on R-n-R. Now I am returning to my duty station to finish off the rest of my deployment tour.

My car will be sitting for the next seven months and I have someone to start it every week.

How often should the car be warmed up? Is there anything else I should do?

thanks and any input is welcome...

Welcome!!! Both to the club, and back to the sandbox.... where you at over here?

If you are not "storing" the car via the gov etc.... I would recommend weekly. My wife is driving mine to work once a week unless it is in the shop. Also, when it does warm up you want to make sure it is fully warmed up not just started. Drive it a bit as well, and make sure to have them check the oil level every other tank of gas. Then of course, tire pressure etc too.

Hopefully your DD has good mechanical skills????

Be safe over there! Definitely have them make sure ti is fully warmed up before turning it off so they don't end up flooding it

The 7 or the 8????

I have driven about 200 miles total on my 8 and 0 on the 7.... so I kinda want to play with them some; then maybe sell it.... (not).

Thanks for the compliment though.
