New Engine

Hi guy's I am the lady that posted about the spark plugs last week well car still in dealer for 10 days it broke down on them yesterday, I called Mazda North America dealer called ---pretty sure I am gonna get a new engine. They say I flooded but the car has been stalling and acting very weird ,,,,so I sure hope mazda will replace ......its a 2004 automatic anyone else have to have a new engine from them if so how did it run after the replacement.....I love my ride....but? Oh and it is under warranty.......so it should be free......

the compression is probably low if they're talking about possibly replacing the engine.
most people are very pleased with their Reman engines so you should be in good shape.
drive it as you normally would but seeing as how it's an Automatic, do not be afraid to get up near redline every now and then; that will help reduce carbon build up.

also, use at least 5w-30 oil

good luck, let us know how it goes.

What were your compression ratings for them to say that it was time to get a new engine? i had mine done and i was told my compression was low and my front rotor was worse but when i took it to my dealer they said it wasnt bad enough but i went to a rotary specialty shop and he told me that so im wondering what your levels were like

I don't know the compression rating actually. The mazda dealership had already got approved and finished the order for the new motor before they even called me. I'll try and find out though when I get the car. I just want my car back only had it for a month and havn't had any trouble free driving since i've had it.

Haha ya my compression was good at startup but when the car was at running temp the compression was lower. Sounds kinda crazy to me.
