Fog Overlay Fitment Issue

Hi guys,

I just received my fog light overlays and they seem too small. Has anyone else run into this issue? Do they stretch out or something?

Thanks

someone had a "bad guy" thread about this a while back. apparently they are supposed to be a bit small. i think you're supposed to heat them up and "stretch" them to fit...not 100% on that, i'm sure rx8strakes will chime in but no you're not the 1st person to mention this.

Thanks. I ended up heating them up and stretching as you mentioned.

Yeah, I just used a hair dryer. It still doesn't cover the entire light, but its so close you can't even tell its off unless you run your fingers on the light

have you ever applied overlays before?

the taillights are the hardest things ever to apply overlays on.

+1 I bought the overlays for the tailights, and it just ended up being a waste of money. I would recommend just have a shop professionally smoke them for you....

Then you have to buy new tail light after you get a ticket.

Best off using overlays that can be removed easily.

yeah true, but hopefully that doesnt happen to me...but the point was the overlays never work. They get bubbles that start to form. Then its a PITA to take them off withouth ruining your lights. So then your back to buying new tail lights.
