yes it works bolts right in. no you don't need the rx7 ecu

Would the adaptronic be the best way to accomplish a 13B REW swap in an SII then?

It would be a piggyback.....stock ecu needed to run power steering throttle body etc 😁

I thought there were no real working piggybacks for the Series 2s ¿

It really isn't a piggyback in the usual sense of the word. It just uses the stock ECU and wiring to and runs as a standalone for engine control.

So in a way it overrides or replaces the stock ECU in the areas pertaining to the engine?

It replaces the ignition and fuel control of the stock ECU
