Need your wisdom...
Hello all, first off since this is my first post i would like to say how much this forum rocks, in terms of the amount of knowledge and great people on here.
Recent boredom on my current vehicle has led me looking for another in a different realm. And just looking around to whats out there i stumbled apon the 8. been lurking around for quite some time and finally signed up.
Been looking at 8's around my neck of the woods and there isnt much. However i have found a vehicle that really appeals to me. Here's the link
http://phoenix.craigslist.org/evl/cto/2724097520.html
04 six speed grand touring with 98k on the clock. The interior is spotless (minus a lack of the driver visor and lack of nav dvd) the outside looks great, engine purrs like a kitten. only issue that he really could see was a wierd noise coming from the back. It was kind of like a air moving over tires sound. he did not know what it was. He thinks it might be the tires of maybe even the diff. He has a spare diff laying around that he would include with the car. And the owner was very knowledgeable about the car, as he has had several rx-8's and several rx-7's (currently building a track rx-7). And he answered a ton of questions and stated alot of what i have read, so i believe i can trust his credibility for the car. He also has all of the service records from the previous over and that owner was religious for the car.
Now to me this car just screams buy me, however i am kind of reluctant because it has 98k on the clock. and it is on its original engine. Now i figure if this car has had its original engine, then it should be a good one. But what are some of the long term problems that could arise from having that many miles??
Any advice would be great. Unfortunately i cant afford much more then this (could probably go to 9k) due to the fact that i will be financing it. The only other vehicle that is within the price range is a 05 with a new motor with 1k and the body with 103k but it is an auto which i do not want really...
Thanks for the help!

Extended warranty will be gone soon, so unless you want to keep a few thousand laying around for another engine if that one goes bad I'd keep looking. And always do a compression check before buying!!!
