I am going to lookat a 2010 GT tomorrow in black mica for 20995 with 5k miles on it.(6 speed) Is this a decent price? Any maintenance issues? What is real world gas mileage?

Just take care of it, and it will take care of you. Follow the scheduled maintenance and read the stickies on this site. This car is not good on gas mileage, but its a fun car to drive. Good luck whichever you decide to do.

The Autobarn in Evanston is advertising a new 2011 Sport, manual transmission, red, 10 miles on the odometer, for $22k...

And there's a dealer in Missouri that's selling 2011 Sports in all three colors at $6500 off MSRP, which works out to $21k.

I don't know how badly you want a GT, but those are some great deals. I am sad that California wouldn't let me buy one of them because they don't have the California emissions sticker.

There may be a huge Mazda incentive going on for leftover 2011 RX-8s, to explain those discounts and prices. There is a dealer in Vegas that has a couple of new GTs and a new R3. See if they will give you that $6500 discount the Missouri dealer is offering, and have the car shipped (or drive it home yourself -- get the break-in over with!).

I ended up paying $22k for a 2010 Sport with 7700 miles & Mazda certified warranty here in California, so $21k for a GT would be a great deal if it were around here. But where you are I would expect RX-8 prices to be considerably lower.

The dealer with 2010 GT started at a 5k differnce on my trade,then started the back and forth game.I got up and started leaving, the salesman got me before I walked out the door and said he could do 3500,I said 1500 for about the 4th time since this all started,He said here sign this "deal" sheet for 1500 and give me a crediy card so I can take it to my manager. I laughed signed the paper and said that I'm not giving him my credit card.Comes back at 2500. I held out my hand said thanks, no hard feelings, he didn't shake my hand, so I walked out the door, as I walked out he " found" another 500. Needless to say I kept going.If he would have told me 2000 in the first place I probablu would have bought it,Carmax has my trade valued at 19000, and Autobarn has it at 19,500.I wasn't out of line or being greedy,just not in the mood for games. Does the sport come with bluetooth? Because I think at this point I think I'm going to get a GTi or another Miata

No Bluetooth on the sport.
Only the cars that come with Bose have Bluetooth.

gas milege blows. but its an rx8. id say sounds look try to get more for ur trade it. make sure the tires still look new, i bought mine second hand and didnt realize they were worn in the rear cuz the rest of the car looked so good. get him to give you a new navi disk!
