Well, car has just gone over 50k miles, so, thinking now is the time to insure... so, just today took out a 1 year policy, that explicitly states they cover compression and rebuild issue, all wear and tear on engine, all MOT and Service Failures, the whole lot.

yeah it's alot of money, BUT... I feel alot better now. It's from the top UK company Warranty Direct so has alot of good recommendations, they do an initial inspection to ensure nothing is wrong, and you need full service history...

So, anyone got one and used theirs? I know in the USA they extended the warranties but in the UK, your compression goes, you're screwed basically.
