I called Rx8 Orders this week and they stated that my cars status has been changed from the fourth week to the fifth week of july. Do you guys think that i can expect delivery next week (the week of July 28-31) or does the "fifth" week mean something else?

I just received this e-mail after being promised my car this week not more than 1 week ago! Very frustrating!!!

Jeff, bad news first and then good news. According to our inventory sheets your vehicle along with all RX8's were pushed back two weeks to the second week of August. The good news is that today we received our first RX8 and it had the same arrival date as yours. Unfortunately this means that Mazda is not very accurate on their predictions. Hopefully your car is on its way but it still could be a couple of weeks. According to one of our regional reps, there has been transportation issues due to the low ground clearance of the car and getting them on the transports. So keep your fingers crossed and hopefully the next time you hear from me will be to tell you your cars is here. Thanks for your patience

On July 11th Mazda customer service confirmed a 4th week of July delivery. My dealer told me the same thing on July 14th. I took delivery on July 15 and then got my delivery email from Mazda on the 16th. Thats the only thing I have to complain about, the car is fantastic.
