FL 2009 RX-8 Grand Touring 19k, good deal?

has 15k miles, 1 owner, but the carfax looks a little funny (fleet vehicle?), heres the link:

http://www.carfax.com/VehicleHistory...3|-85|-49|-122

Should I got for it? I was offered 27k for a new 2011 r3. Which one is the better buy? (grand touring and R3 are pretty much the same MSRP)

I feel like you could do a bit better price wise. I managed to get my 2010 sport new for 23k. 1 year ago

I just talked to them and they said it's been in an accident and they dont know how bad it was or where it was hit, but they assured me that it was professionally fixed and everything is in order...too risky? It looks fine in person, I can't find any sign of accident and there's nothing on carfax. Could be a minor fender bender?

Avoid a car that has the word "accident" in it's history.

Every dealer on the face of the earth is going to tell you exactly the same thing.
Even if the fender is sitting in the trunk because it fell off during the last test drive, they will say that.

You can find a car without damage, or you can take that car to a body shop for a good inspection.

I'd skip it. A better deal can be found!
For example I saw a 09 GT with 20ish for 17.8 a couple months back when I was shopping, clean history.
The car for you will come along, even when it seems like it won't

just hold out, its amazing just how damn fast the price is dropping on these. You can get a much better deal if your patient considering it was in an accident

Alright guys I found a 2009 R3 with 45k miles for $19,600 and they wont go any lower (used car dealer). I was also quoted 27k for a new 2011 r3. Is it worth the extra 7k to buy new or save that money and that the risk of the previous owner not maintaining properly?

The car itself they say is in showroom condition with not a single accident, dent, or scratch.

So you went from looking at a 15k R3 for 19k .... to looking at one with 45k miles for 19k .. and on the former we told you could could find a better deal

...you are getting robbed

The 15k was a grand touring and had been in an accident, this one is an R3 and scratch-free. Kelly's blue book says I should be paying $22k for it

And I can't find anyone on this forum who bought/is buying a used S2 so I have no idea how much I should be paying..around 16-17k would be a good price?

And I dont mind waiting, it's just that there's very few S2 rx8's for sale in my area so I'm worried that if I wait I might miss out and end up having to look out of state for one

Also, why isnt there an edit button on the mobile website?
