Alright, i've been doing some reading and learning how the rotary in general works on here. I've also been narrowing that down to just the RX-8 and finding information out about that through the FAQ and what not. Some great information is here!
Anyway, I have right now a 2001 Toyota Celica and a 2003 Chevy Malibu (Malibu I only have $150 in!) I'm trying to trade/sell to get a 2005 Shinka. It has 180,200 miles though. I was curious to see what you guys had to say about the mileage. I read through and seen what to look for plug wise, with the starter, etc. They are asking $7,500. Should I even mess with it?

Well, I found this. What do you guys think? I got them down to 10,500 and a low payment. I test drove it and LOVED it. Also got to drive one at work yesterday and beat on it a little and it took to it pretty well.
Right, I have to go through a lot though. I didn't get approved for a loan through my credit union without a cosign (my first actual car I'll be buying on loan) so I can't do a private sale. Believe me, I tried. There's a red one with the same features and less miles, but it's red. I kind of hate red cars lol.

Okay, stop right there...
If you have tight finances, you SHOULD NOT buy a used RX-8 with this kind of mileage, from a dealer or not. You are setting yourself up for potential financial troubles if you do.
A 100k+ mile car can potentially have a lot of expenses in its future.
A 100k+ mile SPORTS CAR DOES have a lot of expenses in its near term future.
Skip the RX-8 until you can afford it in the future.
Your wallet will thank you in time.
I can financially afford to get one, I just didn't get approved through my Credit Union without a Co-Sign. I haven't tried my bank yet. It's a matter of no substantial credit built up, not a financial issue.
I do appreciate the advice though. I'm not trying to sound rude in anyway. And I am trying to say away from the 100,000 mark. There are a few around here, just not the color I want, or are outrageously priced. Patience I guess, patience. I just drove one at work Friday though, and now I'm getting all antsy.
