Uhhh.... I think you are just giving yourself an excuse to get rid of your TSX (or getting a RX-8) but that's just my opinion, that's a good car you have there. A TSX can be as fun as a RX-8 if you put your heart into it, I've seen too many people changing cars again and again just because they think the next car they want is better. Anyway back to the issue, I would agree this car requires more effort to take care of such as checking engine oil, protecting the coolers, ac condenser, avoid flooding, lots of rattles. However I'm enjoying all these if you really love the car.

Great car so far!
So much fun to drive compared to anything else I've owned.
You are expected to take care of this car but it is not difficult. You check the oil every two fill-ups and top up as required. Not too much else is required but you end up doing more because the car inspires you in so many ways.
Worst issue with a Rotary is the gas consumption. Also you have to depend on the dealer.
The driving experience makes it all seem okay.

loving it! i consider it to be pretty reliable.

the only thing i'm afraid of is flooding it in the winter with my n00b manual skillz (i.e. accidentally stalling it while cold).

otherwise, i expect no problems, really. plus there are fewer regular maintenance items for this car than most.

it's a little bit of a pain to check and fill oil regularly (2.5qts of oil in 5K for me), but nothing too hard really, and in the grand scheme of things, it's just lazy me.

so, 5K miles, 3.5K of revving it to 8-9K every day (once a day on avg) and no troubles at all!
