Talking Soon-to-be-Mazda RX-8 commercial

Presented by yours truly...

I just wanted some independent feedback on some actor choices
for the commercial I've envisioned.

without knowing the setting of the commercial, who would you say is handsome/beautiful enough to exemplify "new, dynamic, motion, clean lines, curves"?

male or female?

nominees for male:

Guy Pearce (The Time Machine 2002)
Colin Farrell (Minority Report)
Eric Stoltz (Pulp Fiction)
a new face, unknown

and female:

Ashley Judd (High Crimes)
Alicia Witt (Urban Legends)
Charlize Theron (The Astronaut's Wife)
a new face, unknown

granted most, if not all, of these actors would never be caught dead in a commercial, but lemme' know who you would like to see, voting for the closest "type of look."

Guy Pierce is cool for that, but the chick I'd rather choose somebody else...

Jennifer Love Hewitt I love

Talking

Tupac and Notorious B.I.G.(cg images) inside a rx-8 into the streets of paradise/hell, rolling a joint (roll, rotor,roll)......a family-oriented spot! :-)))))

Tupac? Biggie?

They're more GMC Denali boys, not 8's; like R.Kelly, Fat Joe, etc. in "We Thuggin'"

I don't think they're quite right for this. Nevermind my lifetime ban from the netherworld (I got kicked out for being too rowdy...)

Definitely a guy. I don't think many women "get" sportscars. I know there are some, I'm not being chauvinistic but based on pure numbers a lot more guys "understand" sports cars than women.

How about the actor that plays Wolverine, driving it as him, no the character.

I would prefer Clive Owen

The driver from the BMW films. He just kinda gives the bond'esque which would be nice for a revolutionary car as the Rx8.

Yeah, clive owen would be pretty cool. Can't see BMW ever letting that one happen.

I think a X-Men connection would be cool.

How about Sir Ian McLellan (I know he is a little old...but sophisticated)

or how about Hugh Jackman (Wolverine) he would have that rugged wild side.

What I think would be AWESOME is if you had them both!!! It would be great! Flash back and forth between them in different cars. McLellan in one-being all sophisticated, listening to classical music. Jackman in the other listening to metal/rock and tearing up the streets. Them both stopping at the same light.....you get the idea.

What do you think?

I think the best Choice would be ME and i'd do it for free :p

This is based on me being the most hardcore driver in the world without a licence.

Hell I'll do it... put me in the car I'll do a nice 360 spin and the camera can be focused in the front while I spin... and I'll wind up looking head on into the camera and the text comes up:

Are you ready to Zoom-Zoom?

Bah!

Heres what you do. Crazy looking fella driving at night down the highway in speed motion or whatever (dude and car are going slow, everything else going really really fast) THEN it suddenly SLOWS WAY DOWN as the dude spots a BANGING chick. Who compliments the car. Then the camera swings like.....ohh 220 degrees and the kid in the suit goes "ZOOM ZOOM"

just realized

i just realized i have quite a few posts for so short a membership.
Also, the guy has to be handsome, but masculine handsome like George Clooney, but not as recognizeable, someone closer to unknown, cause lets face it, if you put some hideously deformed bum in the car, its not going to sell as well as if it were a somewhat more attractive guy, and didnt clooney win some type of handsomest guy in america typre award or something?

I guesse that other guy would be good too, uhhhhhhhhhhhhh from ******...Bradd Pitt or whatever his name is, but still hes way to uhhhhh recognizeable.

no, babes is what i want... babes babes and more babes... nice babes, not fake ones...
and not goofy ones either, cutesy ones... yeah, cutesy hot babes, without stupid cliche lines... just have 'em say "if you were driving this, i'd f*ck you in a second"
or something... it'd work for me. :D lots of poseurs can identify with it...

i don't really care, 'cause i just love the rotary... that's the reason i'd get one. and the four seat thing...

Ohhhhh...Ashley Judd and Charlize Theron.... *drool* The only way you coulda chosen better was if you'd included Natalie Portman! :D

That said, I think Val Kilmer would be an excellent choice for the commercial. I can think of other things to keep the ladies occupied....

Come on, Charlize Theron is sooooo the best choice. She's smart and sexy and we have seen her drive a car like the 8 is supposed to be driven (in the Itialian Job, if you are not familiar with the flick). Besides she just has the look for it.
