Hmmm i typed in "Veilside" and i used the search function... it was from one of the threads... i forgot which tho..sorry
I ordered my R-Magic front lip spoiler last week. It'll take some time to come in, but it's worth the wait. I was originally going to put the stock front lip spoiler from Mazda on, but I wanted to look different on the road. I personally don't think it looks like a snow plow, I just didn't feel it was necessary to buy the whole Mazdaspeed bumper to get that "different look". I also wanted to make sure that what I put on was urethane and not fiberglass.
PlanMan, I agree. That was my thinking when I ordered the Veilside. The kit is nice, it's urethane, and in comparision to everything else right now, it's cheap.
I have had my eyes on the R Magic since I saw it. This was even with a poor quality greenish looking photo of it at this site: http://www.corksport.com/main.php3?p...3Fcat%3D260813 It's about half way down the page. Cork Sport is also the least expensive place place I have been able to find this at yet. It sells for $375 and it costs to ship it here to middle Illinois $24. That makes it a $400 deal and then I would have to get it painted...so.
However, budgetary constraints have limited me to putting that on my list behind the CZ1 and the all season tires. I am getting a damaged front stock lip that I will fix and install first, it's price was right.
I did get the polished front rotary accent today from Trussville. Great place, as good as Rosenthall. Too bad I missed the one on e bay that the guy was trying to sell on here for a huge profit...it went for less than $20. I wonder if the buyer ever got it...
Anyway back to the thread...I like the RMagic because it is a simpler design that is not too busy but looks aggressive enough to add at least 15HP. :D
Yeah Dennis, I agree the full length side skirts would look better.
I am going to fit mine with the V1 skirts, and if I don't like them (which I may not), then I'm going to shop for full length skirts. The V1 skirts are cheap, so it would be a minimal loss.

Yeah, I just hate the price on the MS side skirts for what they are. I think they look nice and clean. I'm not a big fan of the aero package on the stock RX-8, it's like half of the Veil1. That kept me from going with that set up. Instead, I did go with front and rear splash guards.
I wish there were some material that one could fabricate on their own other than fiberglass. I can't imagine that side skirts would be too difficult to design since they are linear in fashion. The most difficult part would be the design at the wheel wells.
Neither...to be honest I think the reason I dislike most of these lip kits is that they always convey an obvious break between the stock lines of the car and lip. That's why I like the Mazdaspeed nose so much, it replaces the entire front and there is no obvious break. I'd probably like a lot of these kits more if they were full front facias and not just a bolt on where there is too much gap between the stock look and lip. Of course, a fully fabricated front end is going to be $$$'s so obviously that's why they don't do that...but if I were to spend my money, I'd do it right and IMO the full front end is the only way to go.
However, since I don't want this to be a thread crap...I'll vote for the R Magic, only because I think it blends better with the stock lines.
