Rmagic or Veilside V1?

Which lip do you think is better and why?

Unless Greddy anounces that they will make a lip for the 8, i will choose btw the Rmagic lip and the Veilside V1 lip.

The Veilside is more agressive and cheaper. I ordered my full V1 kit yesterday. BTW, where did you find this pic of the Veilside?

i think im leaning towards the Rmagic one because i am most likely gonna pick up the sideskirts too...

IMO the Veildside lip is a tad more aggressive looking and the R-magic lip is a tad cleaner... and i like cleaner looks... not too overdone.

Im thinking R-magic front lip + sideskirts + Mazda appearance package rear deflector.....

what do you guys think? good combo?

I ordered my R-Magic front lip spoiler last week. It'll take some time to come in, but it's worth the wait. I was originally going to put the stock front lip spoiler from Mazda on, but I wanted to look different on the road. I personally don't think it looks like a snow plow, I just didn't feel it was necessary to buy the whole Mazdaspeed bumper to get that "different look". I also wanted to make sure that what I put on was urethane and not fiberglass.

PlanMan, I agree. That was my thinking when I ordered the Veilside. The kit is nice, it's urethane, and in comparision to everything else right now, it's cheap.

Theyr not too similar people, the Veilside is oversized, and its a different design, i would go for a smaller and cleaner look - RMAGIC

Of these choices, I prefer the RMagic. It's subtler. But if the VeilSide is urethane and the RMagic is fiberglass, I might just go with VeilSide.

Honestly, I'd prefer it without it. Replace it with a grill like the one cadillac grill post.

But if I had to choose, I'd have to pick the Veilside.

I have had my eyes on the R Magic since I saw it. This was even with a poor quality greenish looking photo of it at this site: http://www.corksport.com/main.php3?p...3Fcat%3D260813 It's about half way down the page. Cork Sport is also the least expensive place place I have been able to find this at yet. It sells for $375 and it costs to ship it here to middle Illinois $24. That makes it a $400 deal and then I would have to get it painted...so.

However, budgetary constraints have limited me to putting that on my list behind the CZ1 and the all season tires. I am getting a damaged front stock lip that I will fix and install first, it's price was right.

I did get the polished front rotary accent today from Trussville. Great place, as good as Rosenthall. Too bad I missed the one on e bay that the guy was trying to sell on here for a huge profit...it went for less than $20. I wonder if the buyer ever got it...

Anyway back to the thread...I like the RMagic because it is a simpler design that is not too busy but looks aggressive enough to add at least 15HP. :D

Here is what I'd love to see. If only this were real, it would be a morph of both. Note: Check out the side skirts and eyelids.

Yeah Dennis, I agree the full length side skirts would look better.
I am going to fit mine with the V1 skirts, and if I don't like them (which I may not), then I'm going to shop for full length skirts. The V1 skirts are cheap, so it would be a minimal loss.

Yeah, I just hate the price on the MS side skirts for what they are. I think they look nice and clean. I'm not a big fan of the aero package on the stock RX-8, it's like half of the Veil1. That kept me from going with that set up. Instead, I did go with front and rear splash guards.

I wish there were some material that one could fabricate on their own other than fiberglass. I can't imagine that side skirts would be too difficult to design since they are linear in fashion. The most difficult part would be the design at the wheel wells.

Of these two -- RMagic

But I am not sure either is really any better than the appearance package front lip.

Face it -- you all want the MS front nose -- just buy it :D

Neither...to be honest I think the reason I dislike most of these lip kits is that they always convey an obvious break between the stock lines of the car and lip. That's why I like the Mazdaspeed nose so much, it replaces the entire front and there is no obvious break. I'd probably like a lot of these kits more if they were full front facias and not just a bolt on where there is too much gap between the stock look and lip. Of course, a fully fabricated front end is going to be $$$'s so obviously that's why they don't do that...but if I were to spend my money, I'd do it right and IMO the full front end is the only way to go.

However, since I don't want this to be a thread crap...I'll vote for the R Magic, only because I think it blends better with the stock lines.
