When I used to have the Titanium automatic RX-8, I used to look around while I was driving to see if anyone was checking out my car. Not as many looked as I thought..maybe one or two people a day. Must have been because the color was subtle.

However now with my Yellow stick RX-8, I'm positive I get at least 5 looks a day simply because the yellow they used for this color is like a damn highlighter ..so flashy and irritating to the eye that it forces you to look. In fact the other day a little girl holding her father's hand on a sidewalk saw my car passing and jumped up and down pointing. It was pretty weird. I even catch people looking at this thing on the highway of all places...but honestly since I'm driving manual now I pretty much just concentrate on what's in front of me and the tach.

When I first got it almost exactly two years ago now it was ogled daily. Strangers would give it thumbs-up, come up to me at the gas station while I was filling up (which was pretty often!) and ask me about it, and kids in Mustangs would rev at it and want to race.

Now they're all over the place, driven mostly by young Asian males or middle-aged white women. Many people not only fail to notice them, they apparently find them completely invisible -- have you noticed how many of us here have gotten hit lately?
