I say no , some Americans including some in the forum, their knowledge over the Palestine and Israel situation is amusing cough*klegg*cough and also the Government hides to many things from us , like wats going on in Area 51 and about the Iraq invasion.

I doubt it cause it is across the world from you and at the same time does not concern you! nor should it!- same thing

I don't mean to get on a tangent here, but a big problem is in referring to how "Americans" feel. You can replace that group name with anything: Arabs, Muslims, Jews, Catholics, etc etc etc.
We are a race of beings who like to simplify things in order to understand. In many cases, it works well. Unfortunately, one of the largest areas where it fails us, is when we refer to populations. We start to give an entire population a specific identity. That identity is then personified....it starts to have views, beliefs and intentions.
SOME Americans are pro Israel. SOME aren't. SOME Americans are arrogant bastards and feel we should rule the world. SOME aren't/don't.
By the same token, SOME Muslims hate the west, SOME don't. SOME Muslims believe in terror, SOME don't.
No one who lives in the US would ever for a second believe that we all share the same beliefs. So why should we believe that other populations/cultures/nations should be any different?

So, to answer your question, I believe that MOST Americans do not have a good grasp on world issues. Not because the information is unavailable or sequestered by the government, just because they are too busy/lazy/whatever to find out. BUT, I think there are a great number of people in this country who do know what's going on in the world.
And I am sure they all feel different about it.

Just a thought, maybe you should listen a bit........on second thought , do not bother. Keep getting your news from the "star" or the "national inquierer" or whatever arab version you use. God knows they are telling the truth, in a fair unbiased way..
