i did it once on the first day and never again after that....however accidently almost going into reverse when shifting into 6th i have done 2 or 3 times

ive never done that before. Although, when i got into a 5 speed once, i instinctively shifted into '6th' while cruising on the highway :X

so what is the verdict....does it cause any damage to put it into 6th accidently (besides ego)?
I thought when I did it it would kill...but to my suprise it did not

The car should be fine and it is a testament to how tight the drivetrain is.

Has anyone managed to drive off in 6th gear? Although I wouldn't recommend trying it as it woud require a lot of clutch feathering and high rev'ing.

When I first got the car, I found it took a lot more effort to get the stick all the way over either way. Now it's loosend up a bit. Or maybe it's just me that's loosened up.
