Sunny sunday standing drive.

I posted this in Mazdasnw as well but thought a few people on here might be interested. All are welcome. I may not check here as often so click the link for updates.

03-10-2013 07:00 PM - 09-30-2013 07:00 PM - : Sunny sunday standing drive/get together.

Many of you have been on weekend drives with me and with that in mind today i thought might be a good time to introduce this idea.

As we are coming into spring and summer time I thought it would be fun to do something i used to do on the motorcycle forums =) A standing Sunday drive.

Ideally the way this would work is, myself (or anyone else with a route plan) would host these events. The drives will change often and could be as simple as a cruise to golden gardens. They also may be as intensive as doing the cascade loop. Most often they will land in the middle doing drives out to chuck-a-nut, Highbridge, or Sammamish loop as
examples. Groups will likely be small but, not limited As this is a weekly standing event and will be dependent on weather. Feel free to suggest routes and plan or even lead the drive. We will have many sunny Sundays to come as we get into spring and summer. As we go along and in the events that i cant host these drives I would like anyone that is willing to step up and lead. Variety is the spice of life after all.

The driving pace will often change to fit the roads and routes but i will ask that if you are going on the drive or bring others to keep it safe. Last summer i did a few of these and come guest were brought out. As an example a douchwaffle in a vw gli was cutting corners into the opposite lane and very nearly took out a motorcycle. I ask that we keep these sort of things to a minimum.

I will post the first route Monday afternoon as i plan it out. In that time if you have any questions or suggestions please post them up or message me directly.

This is great. I use to do these type of drives with the Winding Roads all the time and just recently moved back, so looking forward to joining as many of these as possible.

One more thing and it might be to late for this drive, but I would suggest starting earlier then noon and try to end the drive with eating lunch. Roads are a lot less busy earlier in the morning then mid day and its kind of nice to end the drive eating lunch and talking about the drive. Just an idea, still looking forward to this one.

^ How are you liking your new tires?

Want to learn how to drive? Take the One Day High Performance class and you're good to go. If you consider it let me know and I'll try and drive the same day

Tires have been great. worth every penny. best grip i've ever had on the car and so far the only time they slip is in the very cold. even then it is hard.
