I wish I had more video to work with. I was filming, at least so I thought, more video when I finally realized that I had the camera in VCR mode, and I missed out on about 10 mintues of tape.
I got mine Saturday. Thanks for all your hard work Nemesis8, you ROCK!
I don't know if you guys know, but he went through at least 6 versions of this thing before he was happy with it. Including sending two pre-release versions to me to test! That's better quality control than I've seen on some software projects!
Did you guys notice that shot where he was filming while going down the hill and kind of panned the camera down to the speedo = something like 103mph! Talk about multi-tasking!
Anyway, it was pretty cool meeting you guys - we'll have to do it again after the rain goes away. I wanted to do the auto show, but we pick up my wifes puppy this next weekend. Where's her priorities???
Though not related to this trip, Annie and I took our '94 Miata R up to St. Helens on Sunday, only to get 5 miles from Windy Ridge and have to turn around due to snow on the road. I was a bit bummed!
So, we came back down and I decided to go the back way through Packwood and Mt. Rainer National Park. We were headed up Hwy 123 and got about 1/8 mile from the intersection of 410 to run into snow and ice again. Once I made it to 410 I decided to give it a go and made it down, but boy there was a lot of ice. I was coasting in 1st gear for awhile.
So, fun trip (it was beautiful, though a bit chilly with the top down....) but a little scary for a little while. My Miata has Yokohama AVS ES100s on it, so not the best snow tires.... ;-)
kevin thanks for sending me the dvd. got it just the other day but havent had a chance to watch it yet. im sure when i do i will be envious of all of you who went.
